I have always had a love for people watching and studying different characteristics, and my work allows me to do this quite a lot whilst capturing spontaneous moments between loved ones. I strive to create images with honesty and emotion that you can admire for a lifetime. Therefore it is important that I make my shoots relaxed and natural at a location you love so you can be yourself and feel comfortable in front of me and my camera. My style and personal taste is with natural light and outdoor spaces as I feel it creates beautiful, timeless images, rather than a studio photo-shoot set up. We will work together to choose the perfect location for you, which can be in the comfort of your own home or a location of your choice. Location has a huge effect on the overall feel of your images, along with clothing, colours and sometimes props. Therefore, there needs to be careful consideration when making these choices, and putting that extra bit of effort in can really make that difference between a ‘nice photo’ and a beautiful image. There’s no rules to where my family shoots can happen, so if you would like to have images of you with your family at the beach or up in the hills overlooking beautiful views, or your children playing in your garden then that’s perfect, as it will be something that’s special to you. I’m passionate about my work so going that extra mile to create something individual for you only motivates me further and reminds me why I love the spontaneity of this job.
By the day of the shoot we would have discussed the location and timings in detail so once we meet we can concentrate on getting to know each other and starting the shoot gradually. Once the first few photos are taken you will soon forget that you are being photographed and instead you will be enjoying having some fun and lots of cuddles with your family. I love putting clients at ease especially when they have told me they are nervous in front of the camera. I have had numerous shoots where I was only intended to photograph the children but by the end I have photographed everyone together and they are always so thankful I persuaded them. I am very much a people person and feel confident I can work with anyone at any age with ease and it always makes me smile when clients leave enjoying the experience. This goes the same for my newborn shoots wherein I concentrate on capturing the natural expression and rawness of your new bundle of joy. No shoot is the same, I work according to you, the location and the light, so your final images will be perfectly right for you and your family.
